Three Peaks series
High on the hills of the Yorkshire dales, the wind, the rain, and snow somehow feel colder, this is plainly visible in the three peaks painting series, which even on fine days can display sudden changes for the worst in the weather. Each painting shows their moodiness, bleak places in the cold and fresh snow, thoroughly invigorating. I’ve captured this by the use of cool colours and greys, the Cloud structures are a true portrait, (though a little lighter than the really were).
